After Months of silence I am resuming my posts. A lot has gone on since I last posted. I have been to great places, met great people and they will be subject of my next discussions.

Of all those people who went before to prepare the way for us, most of those people will not ask us to pay them back. But what they do ask of us is to pay it forward -– that we make this world a better place for those who come after us in just the way that they made this a better place for us. --Naomi Tutu

Over the past two months I have been so busy with work, at times going into office at 8:30
and leaving at 10 pm.

But I have managed to read a book -The Audacity of Hope by Barrack Obama and a magazine, Four Four Two. I was more interested in Samuel Eto’s Interview because he’s one of may favorite players and indeed my best african player.

Below are some quotes from him and I will be uploading my favourite quotes from Obama’s book.

Samuel Eto talking to Four Four Two magazine in May 2007.

When he arrived in Barcelona in 2004, he said , “ I will run like a black man to live like a white man.

Was asked how important it is to have his family in Europe.

ANS: The continent is a mental. I live in Europe but I sleep in Africa. Every goal of mine is a celebration of there.

His most African traits
Happiness. My desire to play football. But I have changed in Africa you play for pleasure, In Europe I play to win.

I agree with Eto on most of the stuff in the interview but one thing is for sure, something you miss about africa while you're away is happiness. Not to say that other people aren’t happy but there’s that smile on almost everyone’s face, a greeting from people you have no idea about. The faces on the streets of Kampala make you see that despite the loads of problems like no school fees, no jobs for some of my friends, HIV for some others, there’s always a smile that gives you belief that you’re not alone.

BBC Reporter was kidnapped in Gaza in March. Months have rolled and no clue of who his kidnappers are.

It's important to pray for his safety in even when he's in the hands of merciless miltants in Palestine.
